Whether you are a lifelong Christian, exploring your faith for the first time, or simply looking for a church family, we are delighted that you are here. At First United Methodist Church of Isle of Palms, we seek to be a community where all people can encounter the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Rooted in the rich traditions of the Methodist Church while embracing the needs of today's world, we strive to grow together through worship, fellowship, service, and discipleship. Our Sunday worship is centered on the glory of God, the proclamation of Scripture, heartfelt prayer, vibrant congregational singing, and music that inspires the soul. From beloved hymns to choral offerings and instrumental music, worship is designed to draw us into the presence of God and prepare us to live faithfully throughout the week. Beyond Sunday mornings, our church is alive with opportunities for every generation. Whether through Bible studies, mission projects, children's and youth ministries, music ensembles, fellowship events, or community outreach, there is a place for everyone to connect, serve, and grow. We understand that visiting a new church can feel overwhelming, so we hope you'll feel at home from the moment you arrive. Come as you are. Whether dressed casually after a walk on the beach or in your Sunday best, you'll find a welcoming congregation eager to meet you.

What to Expect
When you arrive, our greeters and ushers will be happy to welcome you and help you find your way! If you're visiting for the first time, we'd love the opportunity to meet you. Come as you are!
Our worship is centered on Jesus Christ and includes biblical preaching, prayer, congregational singing, and the rich musical traditions of the Church. You'll hear the great hymns of our faith accompanied by organ, piano, and choir, along with occasional newer songs that complement our worship.
We offer child care during services as well in our nursery for children 3 and under.

Communion Sundays
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month (unless noted otherwise), and all who seek to know and follow Christ are welcome to receive.
If you are homebound or unable to attend worship, please contact the church office. Our pastor would be honored to bring Holy Communion to you.
