SERVE

Garden Angels

This wonderful space on our church grounds between the sanctuary and the fellowship hall has undergone a transformation. It has been renovated and restored by the “Garden Angels".

The “Garden Angels” is a group of volunteers that the Spirit has moved to enjoy updating the garden and accomplishing its ongoing maintenance. Maintenance activities like watering and weeding are scheduled and anyone who wishes to join to help out with activities such as these is welcome to help. We welcome ideas for seasonal flower selections in an effort to find the most successful plants for our space.

The church and its greater community are fortunate to have this beautiful green space. Prayers of gratitude are lifted for all, past and present, who have had a part in the restoration and maintenance. If you admire and enjoy the Prayer Garden, and it is on your heart to get involved,

contact Jan Wurtzel, janwurtzel@aol.com.

Shepherds

The Shepherd's Ministry is a caring outreach that serves the First United Methodist Church family by sharing the love of Christ through prayer, phone calls, emails, and cards.

Whether someone is recovering from illness or surgery, grieving a loss, facing a difficult season, or celebrating a joyful milestone, our Shepherds offer encouragement, compassion, and support as the hands and feet of Jesus.

Interested in serving? We'd love to have you join our team! Shepherds serve on a rotating two-week schedule and receive all the resources and support needed to minister with confidence.

For more information or to volunteer, please contact Jen Robertson.

Ushers

Ushers play an important role in creating a welcoming and meaningful worship experience. As the first friendly faces many people encounter on Sunday mornings, they greet worshipers, distribute bulletins, assist with seating, receive the offering, and help ensure that our services run smoothly.

Whether you're new to serving or have years of experience, ushering is a simple yet meaningful way to extend Christ's hospitality to everyone who walks through our doors.

If you're interested in serving as an usher, we'd love to have you join our team. Please contact Jen Robertson  for more information.
